- Pilotage is compulsory in all ports.
2 - Is the fresh waster available?
- Fresh water is only available at TAKREER Ruwais Refinery and need to be arranged through Agent.
3 - Is the Bunkering facility available?
- Bunkers are only available at Refinery / GASCO berth and should be arranged through ship agent.
4 - Is the crew change available?
No crew change facility is available at any port.
5 - Who Grant Pratique?
Pilot who goes onboard issues Free Pratique on behalf of Ports Authority.
6 - What are the procedures for Pre Arrival information?
Master should send Pre Arrival Information through their agent 72 Hrs prior arrival and update ETA 48 hrs, 24 hrs and 12 hrs prior arrivals.
7 - Is purging or gas freeing allowed?
It is prohibited within Port Limit.
8 - What are prohibited areas?
Prohibited areas exist for a distance of 2 cables around any berth while vessel loading / discharging any petroleum cargo. No boats enter this area.
9 - Who carry out ship business in Port?
Only registered shipping agents who are appointed by vessel owner / charters are allowed to do ship related business.
10 - What is the normal ISPS security level in ports?
Normally all ports are at Security level ONE, however any change in same will be advised to all ships accordingly.
11 - In case of Security level 2 on ship, who will sign Declaration of Security (DOS)?
Pilot on boarding signs DOS on behalf of PPA.
